KAMPALA; The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced temporary water supply interruptions affecting parts of Kampala and Nakaseke District as engineers work to repair damaged water infrastructure.
In a public notice issued on Friday, NWSC said water supply to several areas in Bugolobi has been disrupted due to an emergency fault on a transmission line.
The affected areas include Luthuli Avenue, Luthuli Rise, Bugolobi Road, Bazalabusa Road, Mbuya Road, Kulubya Road, Princess Ann Road and the surrounding neighbourhoods.
According to the utility, a team of engineers has already been deployed to the site to undertake emergency repairs, with water supply expected to be restored within approximately four hours.
NWSC apologised for the inconvenience caused and appealed to customers for patience as restoration works continue.
Meanwhile, the corporation also announced a separate water supply interruption in Kapeeka Town after ongoing road rehabilitation works accidentally damaged one of its water pipelines.
The disruption has affected Kapeeka Central, Zirambwa, Bulega, Kabere, Kikondo, Semuto and the surrounding areas.
NWSC said its technical team is carrying out urgent repairs and expects normal water supply to resume within three hours.
The corporation expressed regret over the inconvenience and thanked customers and the general public for their understanding as efforts continue to restore normal service as quickly as possible.
