NWSC works to restore water supply in Masaka city following power and network challenges

Posted on

MASAKA ; The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced ongoing efforts to restore normal water supply in Masaka City after a combination of power and technical challenges disrupted service delivery.

According to NWSC, the interruption was initially caused by a power outage that affected production at the city’s water treatment plant. The situation was further compounded by a technical failure on the water distribution network, resulting in reduced water availability across several areas.

Although electricity has since been restored, the utility provider noted that the treatment plant is currently experiencing a phase failure, which has delayed the resumption of normal operations.

NWSC said its technical teams are working around the clock to address the fault and ensure that water supply is restored as quickly as possible.

The corporation apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused by the disruption and thanked residents for their patience and understanding during the restoration process.

NWSC also pledged to keep the public informed through regular updates as repair works continue and efforts to normalize water supply progress.
