Water supply disrupted in Kansanga as NWSC repairs damaged pipeline

KAMPALA; The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced a temporary water supply interruption in Kansanga and neighboring areas following damage to key transmission mains during ongoing road maintenance works along Nsambya Estate Road.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, NWSC said the disruption was necessary to allow its technical teams to repair and reinstate the damaged transmission infrastructure.

The interruption has affected customers along Nsambya Estate Road, Nsambya Estate, and surrounding areas.

NWSC said its engineers and technicians are already on site carrying out emergency repair works to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.

The utility assured customers that the repairs have been prioritised, acknowledging the importance of reliable water services for households, businesses and other essential activities.

NWSC estimates that the repairs will be completed and water supply restored within two hours, provided no unforeseen challenges arise during the restoration process.

The corporation apologised for the inconvenience caused and appealed to affected customers for patience and understanding as the emergency works continue.
