NWSC completes emergency works on Namasuba bulk water transmission main

KAMPALA: The wait is finally over for residents of Najjanankumbi, parts of Entebbe Road, Nalumunye, Bunamwaya, Nyanama, Seguku, Lubowa, Bandwe, Kitiko, and surrounding areas. As of Friday, August 1, 2025, the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has completed emergency works along the Namasuba Bulk Water Transmission Main.

While the repairs are complete, NWSC humbly requests customers’ patience as the concrete anchors on the pipe set, allowing for swift water supplies to their taps. The corporation apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures customers that all efforts are being made to restore water supply to the affected areas.

This development comes as a relief to residents who have been facing water shortages due to the emergency works. NWSC had previously announced the interruption in water supply to allow for emergency works along the Ggaba-Namasuba bulk water transmission main, affecting areas including Najjanankumbi, Lubowa, Seguku, and others.

The NWSC’s commitment to improving water supply systems is evident in its ongoing projects, such as the Lake Victoria WATSAN Project, which aims to increase water production capacity and optimize transmission mains. The project includes works like upgrading water treatment plants, modifying reservoirs, and laying new transmission mains.
